“LET’S BURN THE MORTGAGE!! As a part of our becoming debt free, FAC is kicking off a campaign to retire the rehab loan on the Vanessa Knight Building.  We need at least 100 families/people to give $10 per week over and above their normal tithes for 17 weeks starting next Sunday, August 3^rd. Please come prepared to be a part of the vision!!”

 

If you are interested in being trained to work with our youth.  Please attend the next Boundary Training class on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10:00-12Noon in the Small Community Room.

 

FACAT (First Afrikan Church Action Team) will host a meeting with Mr. Terrance Courtney of Black Alliance Just Immigration (BAJI), on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 7:00pm who will be speaking on the topic of Racial Profiling of Black Immigrants. Also speaking will be Dr. Jane Kennedy, of BAJI. ”The Seasoned Women of First African are invited to join in a “Table Talk Conversation” – open topic, no agenda, no speaker – just you and your “seasoning” to add to our Afrikan Pot, which will help to share you with us and us with one another. The variety of the seasonings; the richer the broth and the more fulfilling what we all put in the pot. Regular meetings will be the second Tuesday of each month. Our first gathering will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Small Community Room at 7:30p.m. We look forward to a great time of sharing.
