You are invited to attend the Ordination Service of Minister Katherine Lankford on Sunday, July 20th, 2014 at First Afrikan Church at 4:00pm. Minister Katherine Lankford will be ordained to Christian ministry this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. here at First Afrikan. Katherine is a member of First Afrikan and served on the minister’s council for five years prior to moving to Minneapolis, MN where she and her family currently reside. Please come out to support minister Lankford as she enters ordained Christian Ministry as a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

 

Please join us for our Friends and Family meet and greet on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Bring a friend or family member who has not attended or has not attended in a while on that day.

 

If you are interested in being trained to work with our youth. Please attend the next Boundary Training class on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10:00-12Noon in the Small Community Room.

 

”The Seasoned Women of First African are invited to join in a “Table Talk Conversation” – open topic, no agenda, no speaker – just you and your “seasoning” to add to our Afrikan Pot, which will help to share you with us and us with one another. The variety of the seasonings; the richer the broth and the more fulfilling what we all put in the pot. Regular meetings will be the second Tuesday of each month. Our first gathering will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Small Community Room at 7:30p.m. We look forward to a great time of sharing.
