Creation Care would like to thank all who attended the 2014 Community Festival Saturday July

12. We would also like to thank the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event the best

yet. We will see you next year!

“LET’S BURN THE MORTGAGE!! As a part of our becoming debt free, FAC is kicking off a campaign

to retire the rehab loan on the Vanessa Knight Building. We need at least 100 families/people to give

$10 per week over and above their normal tithes for 17 weeks starting TODAY. Please note in the

memo section on your checks or on the bottom of the offering envelope “Burn the Mortgage”.

FACAT (First Afrikan Church Action Team) will host a meeting with Mr. Terrance Courtney of

Black Alliance Just Immigration (BAJI), on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 7:00pm who will be

speaking on the topic of Racial Profiling of Black Immigrants. Also speaking will be Dr. Jane

Kennedy, of BAJI. She will sharing her personal story of a recent incident with the Smyrna police

department whereby she was arrested and incarcerated. For more information, please contact Sandra

”The Seasoned Women of First African are invited to join in a “Table Talk Conversation” – open

topic, no agenda, no speaker – just you and your “seasoning” to add to our Afrikan Pot, which will help to

share you with us and us with one another. The variety of the seasonings; the richer the broth and the

more fulfilling what we all put in the pot. Regular meetings will be held on the second Monday of

each month. Our first gathering will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Small Community Room

at 7:30p.m. We look forward to a great time of sharing. Interested persons please email your name,
