WEEK TWO / “LET’S BURN THE MORTGAGE!! As a part of our becoming debt free, FAC is kicking off a campaign to retire the rehab loan on the Vanessa Knight Building. We need at least 100 families/people to give $10 per week over and above their normal tithes for 17 weeks starting TODAY. Please note in the memo section on your checks or on the bottom of the offering envelope “Burn the Mortgage”.
The Men’s Choir rehearsal will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 10:00am in preparation to sing for the 5th Sunday Worship Service.
”The Seasoned Women of First African are invited to join in a “Table Talk Conversation” – open topic, no agenda, no speaker – just you and your “seasoning” to add to our Afrikan Pot, which will help to share you with us and us with one another. The variety of the seasonings; the richer the broth and the more fulfilling what we all put in the pot. Regular meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month. Our first gathering will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Small Community Room at 7:30p.m. We look forward to a great time of sharing.
