Fawohodie is an adinkra symbol which translates as: “Independence comes with its responsibilities.” In the spirit of Ubuntu, and as a community of African people, we embrace the responsibility of caring for those who are incarcerated and their families. Likewise, we desire to participate in their successful re-entry to the larger society. If you are interested in working with us as we develop this ministry, please see Rev. Carlton Johnson, Elder Jihad Uhuru, or Bro. James Costen.
