Reminder:  Our Fall Bible Study Continues October 1-22 Wednesday Noon and Evening Bible Study Class Only. Our Call to Serve and Our Spiritual Gifts

Study Text: Know Thyself by Dr. Naim Akbar (order from Amazon or purchase from CFABS)

Spiritual gifts are different from those talents we have learned through life. Some of us recognized a “nack” for something and decided to build upon it by learning certain skills. Spiritual gifts are from Our Creator for a Divine Purpose-this study engages us in answering:

  • Oct.  1st What Do I Discern or How Do I Discern My Spiritual Gifts?
  • Oct.  8th How Do I Equip Myself and Others in My Spiritual Gifts?
  • Oct.  22th   What Is My Effective Service (Ministry) Through My Spiritual Gifts for our families and our communities?

Children’s Ancestral Remembrance Parade!  Parents, please plan your child’s participation in costume and in words for our Annual Ancestral Remembrance Parade!!!  We want to see our children honor their ancestors, tell us what they know about that ancestor, and have fun! Wednesday, October 29th at 6:30 p.m.  If you are interested in working with the Parade and Fun Night, please let us know in the CFABS office.  Evening Bible Study will also be that evening with Bro. Akintunde as facilitator.

Grief As An Act of Justice—Our Pool of Blessings…  Family, During this season of Return-Victorious Living, we are exercising the God-given charge of Compassion. Our Ancestors understood how important it was in those times when we experience difficulty, death (in all of its forms) and loss. Please take a moment to receive and/or give compassion at the Pool of Blessings located in the Narthex. Instructions are on the table poster. This dedication prayer ritual will be available through our season of Return. The Center for Afrikan Biblical Studies (CFABS)
