Dear First Afrikan Family, Friends and Supporters: Citizens for a Healthy and Safe Environment is hosting an environmental justice conference on November 8, 2014. Our theme is: “The Air We Breathe”. The conference will educate the community on gasification/biomass dangers, the poor air quality in South DeKalb, the effects of landfills, biomass plants, diesel emissions and the devastating effects on our community. These unfriendly projects cause additional health issues such as lung diseases, aggravating diabetes and cardiac problems.
