We are pleased to announce that the application to register the mark for our delicious Cameroonian coffee – CAMBOYO – is officially registered with the US Patent & Trademark Office. In celebration of this, coffee will be the focus of Today’s Friends & Family Fellowship downstairs in the community room following worship service.  Enjoy hot or iced coffee black or with various creamers like pumpkin spice, caramel macchiato and others.

Children’s Ancestral Remembrance Parade!  Parents, please plan your child’s participation in costume and in words for our Annual Ancestral Remembrance Parade!!!  We want to see our children honor their ancestors, tell us what they know about that ancestor, and have fun! Wednesday, October 29th at 6:30 p.m.  If you are interested in working with the Parade and Fun Night, please let us know in the CFABS office.  Evening Bible Study will also be that evening with Bro. Akintunde as facilitator.

Christian Theology Class- Christian Theology Course:

The purpose of this course is to teach church members basic Christian doctrine. The course will focus on the persons of the Godhead and briefly examine key Christian doctrines: At the end of the course students will be familiar with

WEEK 13/ “LET’S BURN THE MORTGAGE!! As a part of our becoming debt free, FAC is kicking off a campaign to retire the rehab loan on the Vanessa Knight Building.  We need at least 100 families/people to give $10 per week over and above their normal tithes for 17 weeks starting August 3, 2014.  Please note in the memo section on your checks or on the bottom of the offering envelope “Burn the Mortgage”.

Dear First Afrikan Family, Friends and Supporters: Citizens for a Healthy and Safe Environment is hosting an environmental justice conference on November 8, 2014. Our theme is: “The Air We Breathe”.  The conference will educate the community on gasification/biomass dangers, the poor air quality in South DeKalb, the effects of landfills, biomass plants, diesel emissions and the devastating effects on our community. These unfriendly projects cause additional health issues such as lung diseases, aggravating diabetes and cardiac problems. We will also discuss the effects of the negative impact and on our property values. Location: Peace Lutheran Church, 1679 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30032.  Please join us! Kilombo’s Annual Fundraising Dinner is Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 6 pm.  The dinner will be held at the home of Dr. Haiba Sonyika. Kilombo is born out of the vision of First Afrikan Church and the work of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement.  We will be starting a program for 3-4 year olds soon.
