Call Conversations Bible Study Session Two: Inner Voices. Join us for our second class
conversation on Call on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Lunch and dinner is served in the community room
1 hour before class. Class sessions begin promptly at 1 and 7pm in the sanctuary. Registration is still

“Archetypal Dreamwork: The Healing Theatre,” facilitated by Minister Grace Cheptu, meets every
2nd and 3rd Sunday in the Vanessa Knight Building following the 10:00 AM service. Exception: There
will be no meeting May 15, 2016.

The next Seasoned Women’s gathering will be on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 7pm at the home of

set agenda, no theme, just us enjoying and sharing with one another.

Monday, May 16th at 7:30 pm at FAC in the fellowship hall there will be a worship planning meeting for
those interested in helping to plan and implement worship.

The Worship Life Council selected Saturday, May 21, 2106 from 9:00 am to 12 noon as the time
for our Worship Life Mbongi. All members of Worship Life i.e., Music Ministry, Tamba Issa,, Ngoma
Lungunda, Drummers, Tana Dhari, Ushers, Sanctuary Choir, Harambee Greeters, Media Ministry and
both Youth and Children’s Church Leaders as well as those who are interested in serving as liturgists
are strongly encouraged to attend. It will be in FAC fellowship room.

FAC is invited to join Big Miller Grove Baptist Church in a Community Yard Sale and Cook­off on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Vendors you can bring your own tables for a $25. The Southeast Region, National Black Presbyterian Caucus will hold its biennial Conference on July 15-­17, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport Hotel, 14670 Duval Road, Jacksonville, FL. We are pleased that we have been able to negotiate an excellent rate of $95.00 per night, per room. In order to receive this rate, you must register for the conference and reserve your room by June 1, 2016.
The conference will begin on that Friday at 1:00pm. The theme is “Responding to the Signs of the Time in the Southeast Region ­ Trusting in God” (2 Tim. 3:1, 14­17) A planned intergenerational program that we hope will be spiritual, joyful and educational; one that we hope will enhance the spiritual growth of each attendee. Workshop topics include: Growing Churches/Evangelism Challenges for African American Congregations (The State of the Church) Social Justice (Societal Issues Facing the African American Community ­ guns, drugs, etc) Church Polity ­ The Ordination Process; Responding to Marriage Equality Registration cost is $175.00 for Adults ($200.00 after June 1), and $50.00 for youth and seminary students. This fee includes conference materials, the luncheon on Saturday, and the Lawrence Bottoms Award Banquet. The deadline for registration is June 30, 2016. There will be no on­site registration.
