ANNOUNCEMENTS:

“Today We Celebrate First Afrikan Church First Great Day of Giving”.  We are asking each family to make a sacrificial offering of $250 over and beyond their normal tithes and offering.  This sacrificial offering will continue to provide financial stability as we move into our summer months.”

Conversations 2015 From Ashe to Amen culminates this Wednesday with our “Camp Meeting-The Tradition of the Jele (Griot) Preacher.  Join us for the afternoon or evening session.  The afternoon will begin at 12:30 p.m.  The evening session at 6:30 p.m.  Please dress comfortably and, bring or wear something that honors those in your own family who have or had that “ol time religion”.  This last installment will engage us in expressing our worship as our fore parents did.

“First Afrikan Rhythms” in our worship.  All FAC Leadership: Please join us for a Leadership Mbongi. Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., We expect to see all of our spiritual leaders (elders, deacons, ministry leaders, ministers, and trustees) involved in leading worship to be in attendance.  What is the First Afrikan Rhythm for Worship? How we engage, why and what are the expectations of our worship experience.

 

 Mark Your Calendars–June is Nsaa (Excellence)!!!  Families and friends please plan to submit your child’s, relative or extended family member’s academic and/or cultural achievements.  We will recognize each group of achieving students on the second, third and fourth Sunday in June, 28, 2015.  Pre-school and Elementary on the second Sunday, Middle Grades and High School on the Third Sunday.  This year our theme connects persons in our immediate family (living and ancestral) to our achievements.  We never achieve excellence all by ourselves.  “Because of Them, We Can” asks each

 

Nsaa recipient to name the persons in their immediate family that “made a way” for their achievements. Look to post your application on the FAC website or email it to the church.
