The Ujima Men’s Ministry will host the 2016 Ministry Kick-off on Saturday, February 6, 2016, 10:00 – 11:30AM in the Large Community Room. All men in the church are encouraged to attend as we share our plans for the upcoming year. Healthy breakfast items (pot luck) are encouraged. The Second Ujamaa Exchange (Community Give Away) will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10am 
-2pm on the church grounds. We are asking you to please bring your extras, your gently used items (clothes, books, household, automotive, electronic goods, etcetera) that could be of use to someone in the community for a FREE exchange. If there is an item that you need…freely give and freely receive. All un-exchanged items will be returned to their owner until the next Ujamaa Exchange. Season of Birth Bible Study (Wednesdays, February 10-April 13, 2016) 1:00 p.m. (lunch served at 12:30 p.m.) and 7:00 p.m. (dinner served at 6:30 p.m.) “Go Tell It—Witnessing Work—Giving Evidence to the Worthiness of Our Faith, Our Families and Our Fight” Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This Bible Study series is designed to equip participants with Biblical stories that speak to our responsibility to internalize God’s purpose and share it to others (Bearing Witness). The study situates the practice of witnessing in the different contexts of our Bible, our family, our church life and our global struggle for liberation. Please complete the registration flyer and leave downstairs in the basket in the community room or in the narthex. Participants will engage in witnessing work through multiple mediums including oral and written, photographic and digital. If you have a smart phone, bring it to the class sessions.
Parents: (Ayodele)-Children, Youth and Teens Choir will rehearse every 2nd Sunday immediately after worship service and 9am on 3rd Sundays commencing February 14th, 2016. African people it’s planning time for the “2016 FAC Youth Lock-In” (April 22nd & 23rd) and we need your gifts, talents, and participation to help make this year’s Lock-In incredible for our youth.
