ANNOUNCEMENTS:
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1st—“Our Children, Our Stories” will take place at First Afrikan for two groups during 10AM service: Children age 4 and older only– (4-8 year olds and 9-Teens). Let’s Share Our Stories! Parents may send or come with your children downstairs to the Community Room after HARAMBEE. At 8AM there will be one group. Children will return upstairs for ZAWADI and Communion. Volunteers are welcomed to help facilitate either group. See Sister Angela Reid at or Sister Janice Harper

Sacred Conversations – Part 2 – Growing up Through Our Children, will be held on Sunday, February 15th after the 10 AM worship service in the Community Room. All are welcome, with or without children. This is a conversation about life’s stages and what do we do now? For more information contact Elder Newburn Reynolds, or Deacon Ethelin Reynolds.
The church office will be closed Monday, February 16th in honor of President’s Day.
First Afrikan Church Author’s Reception, Sunday, February 22nd. The Deacon Board and Center for Afrikan Biblical Studies invites all FAC Authors to participate in a book signing Friends and Family Day Reception after our 10am Worship Service. We would like the entire FAC Family to know and experience the gift of books produced by our own members! Each author will have a table with books for sale and an opportunity to sign them. We will need a photo and the title of your book if you plan to participate.
