 f Sacrifice and then take an in-depth look at who was this Jesus\, Yeshua 
 the Christ\, our Afrikan Messiah.\n\nWe are taught and reference is made t
 o historical figures who “sacrificed” for us as people of the Afrikan 
 diaspora - Patrice Lumumba\, Medgar Evers\, Harriet Tubman\, Malcolm X\, C
 ecile Fatiman\, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, Nelson Mandela\, Queen
  Nzinga\, etc.\n\nWe are reminded in our individual families of people who
  “sacrificed” so that we can enjoy the life we now have – parents\, 
 siblings\, uncles\, aunts\, grand/God- parents\, cousins\, family/close fr
 iends\, etc.\n\nWe have been constantly told in our faith journey (no matt
 er our Christian denomination) that “Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice\,
  he gave his life so that we might have eternal life”.\n\nBut what does 
 that really mean? In this study and sermon series we will examine the mean
 ing of Sacrifice from a myriad of perspectives to find out what that reall
 y means in our current lived Africentric Christian context.\n\nSacrifice (
 Lat.\, OF\, OE)…\n\nTo offer something (especially a life) to a deity as
  an act of homage\, propitiation\, penitence\, thanksgiving\, devotion\, e
 tc.\n\nSomething given up for the sake of another.\n\nThe act of giving up
  a desirable thing for a more higher object or to a more pressing claim.\n
