 he concept of Sacrifice and then take an in-depth look at who was this Jes
 us\, Yeshua the Christ\, our Afrikan Messiah.\n\nWe are taught and referen
 ce is made to historical figures who “sacrificed” for us as people of 
 the Afrikan diaspora - Patrice Lumumba\, Medgar Evers\, Harriet Tubman\, M
 alcolm X\, Cecile Fatiman\, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, Nelson Man
 dela\, Queen Nzinga\, etc.\n\nWe are reminded in our individual families o
 f people who “sacrificed” so that we can enjoy the life we now have 
 – parents\, siblings\, uncles\, aunts\, grand/God- parents\, cousins\, f
 amily/close friends\, etc.\n\nWe have been constantly told in our faith jo
 urney (no matter our Christian denomination) that “Jesus paid the ultima
 te sacrifice\, he gave his life so that we might have eternal life”.\n\n
 But what does that really mean? In this study and sermon series we will ex
 amine the meaning of Sacrifice from a myriad of perspectives to find out w
 hat that really means in our current lived Africentric Christian context.\
 n\nSacrifice (Lat.\, OF\, OE)…\n\nTo offer something (especially a life)
  to a deity as an act of homage\, propitiation\, penitence\, thanksgiving\
 , devotion\, etc.\n\nSomething given up for the sake of another.\n\nThe ac
 t of giving up a desirable thing for a more a higher object or to a more p
