  concept of Sacrifice and then take an in-depth look at who was this Jesus
 \, Yeshua the Christ\, our Afrikan Messiah.\n\nWe are taught and reference
  is made to historical figures who “sacrificed” for us as people of th
 e Afrikan diaspora - Patrice Lumumba\, Medgar Evers\, Harriet Tubman\, Mal
 colm X\, Cecile Fatiman\, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, Nelson Mande
 la\, Queen Nzinga\, etc.\n\nWe are reminded in our individual families of 
 people who “sacrificed” so that we can enjoy the life we now have – 
 parents\, siblings\, uncles\, aunts\, grand/God- parents\, cousins\, famil
 y/close friends\, etc.\n\nWe have been constantly told in our faith journe
 y (no matter our Christian denomination) that “Jesus paid the ultimate s
 acrifice\, he gave his life so that we might have eternal life”.\n\nBut 
 what does that really mean? In this study and sermon series we will examin
 e the meaning of Sacrifice from a myriad of perspectives to find out what 
 that really means in our current lived Africentric Christian context.\n\nS
 acrifice (Lat.\, OF\, OE)…\n\nTo offer something (especially a life) to 
 a deity as an act of homage\, propitiation\, penitence\, thanksgiving\, de
 votion\, etc.\n\nSomething given up for the sake of another.\n\nThe act of
  giving up a desirable thing for a more a higher object or to a more press
