Our Winter Bible Study begins with the course study: The Person of Yeshua/Jesus, our Afrikan Messiah. This study focus is on the person of Yeshua and designed to acquaint the First Afrikan faith community and friends with the Jesus of scripture and the Jesus of history. It pushes beyond the many assumptions about who Jesus was and is and uses both the Bible and contemporary scholarship to reinvestigate the life, work, and faith of a North East Afrikan peasant who became known as the Son of God. Classes 1pm & 7pm for Wednesdays and following worship service on Sundays:
Wednesday December 3 & Sunday December 7 / The Pre-Easter Yeshua
Wednesday December 10 / Yeshua, Compassion and Politics
Wednesday December 17 & Sunday December 21 / Yeshua, The Teacher of Alternative Wisdom
Sunday, December 28 / Yeshua, the Wisdom of God

Community Announcements:
Family, We invite you to join us at one of the foremost gathering of faith-based activists, clergy, congregants, students, and legacy builders at the annual Samuel DeWitt Proctor conference, February 9-12, 2015. An organization founded by three prophetic voices committed to justice through the life, ministry and scholarship of our great ancestor, Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor, the Proctor conference brings together those in church leadership engaged in “frontline” justice work and strategic work sessions on specific community, local, national and global change. The focus: Reclaiming Our Moral Authority: Faith and Justice in the Age of Reinvented Empire. Details for registration on the website: www.sdpconference.info and brochures in the CFABS office. See Mama Itihari Toure for details.
Our delicious CamBoyo coffee is available for purchase downstairs after service.
