Bible Study Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Reclaiming Worship as Social, Political and Economic Movement from Oppression to Freedom. This week presenter Dr. Japhet Ndemera. Session: “Singing Revolution” Worship Songs in the South African Revolution” Psalm 33:1-3.  Class Sessions 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (lunch & dinner served 1 hour prior to class)
Every 3rd Sunday is Youth Sunday; however, September’s Youth Sunday will be even more engaging. As we prepare for September’s Youth Service, which will have a special presentation, we are asking that all youth (ages 9-20) be available as follows:
September 3rd (1st Sunday) Â Â – Â 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in Vanessa Knight Building
September 10th (2nd Sunday) –  10:30 am – 12:30 pm in Vanessa Knight Building  AND  immediately after church 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm in Sanctuary
The Youth Department is constantly striving to be Afrikan-excellent, which requires time to prepare, plan and rehearse. It is important that the youth participants be present at all rehearsals for the entire time.

First Afrikan Church 24th Anniversary will be celebrated Saturday December 9th and Sunday December 10, 2017.  The theme is “Building First Afrikan’s Future Together: Restoring GOD to the Center of Life, 2 Chronicles 7:13-16”.
