Congregation Meeting to elect the 2017 Leadership today following the 8am & 10m Worship Services.

 

 

 

 

The re-established FAPC Health Ministry will convene its first informal planning session on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the community room approximately 12:15 pm or after the 10:00am service.  Interested parties should see Drs. Jewel Crawford or Darren Harper after today’s service. A background in health is preferred but not required.

 November is First Afrikan Church’s “Great Month of Giving”.  This is the time set aside in our church for each member to review their YTD Giving Amounts and to “Catch Up and Get Ahead” before the end of the year.  The trustees will also implement the “Every Sunday Give Something” campaign and will host the 2017 Pledge drive.  Please call trustee Darryl Edler at 770-235-8772 with any questions.

 

Thanksgiving Meals for Needy Families:  The Deacon Board will be providing bags of food to needy families for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are looking for families who need support. If you are a family or you know of a family who needs support, please contact one of your friendly FAC Deacons or call the church office to sign up to receive a bag no later than Thursday, November 19. Or, if you are able to, please take a bag located in the narthex, fill it up using the shopping list attached and bring it back to the church the following Sunday.  Cash, $15 or $20 grocery store gift cards are also welcome.The bags will be distributed on Sunday, November 22rd. For more information, please contact Deacon Sharon Munajj (smunajj@comcast.net; 770 560-2655) or Deacon Lynne Young (serwaa1@gmail.com; 678 772-9400).  Thank you for your generosity!

The Rite of Baptism ceremony for members of FAC will take place on Sunday, November 20th following the 10 a.m. service only.  This will be the final baptism ceremony for 2016.  Adult members or member parents of minor children must indicate your desire to participate in the ceremony by calling the church office at 770-981-2601 no later than Sunday, November 6th.
