F.A.C.A.T (First Afrikan Community Action Team) will host a community forum on the O.S.D. (Opportunity School District). This informational session will have a diverse panel of speakers to address the legislation that’s been signed by Georgia’s Governor Deal. This November, voters will be asked to authorize that state to create a separate school district for its failing schools within the state. The forum is Monday, October 24, 2016 at First Afrikan Church, at 7:00pm.

The Rite of Baptism ceremony for members of FAC will take place on Sunday, November 20th following the 10 a.m. service only. This will be the final baptism ceremony for 2016. Adult members or member parents of minor children must indicate your desire to participate in the ceremony by calling the church office at 770-981-2601 no later than Sunday, November 6th.
November is First Afrikan Church’s “Great Month of Giving“. Â This is the time set aside in our church for each member to review their YTD Giving Amounts and to “Catch Up and Get Ahead” before the end of the year. Â The trustees will also implement the “Every Sunday Give Something” campaign and will host the 2017 Pledge drive. Â Please call trustee Darryl Edler at 770-235-8772 with any questions.
