Kwanzaa 2015- “Go Tell Somebody” Dec. 28th at First Afrikan church. Please join us for an organizing conference call if you are interested in working on the 2015 Kwanzaa program. We are in partnership with several other African Centre institutions in Atlanta and welcome your involvement in either the Children’s Kwanzaa program (4-6:00 p.m.) or the Evening Program on Monday, Dec. 28th at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in working on this years’ experience, please Contact the (Elder Mehib Holmes lsholmes2014@gmail.com (404-683-0949).

Thanksgiving Meals for Needy Families: The Deacon Board will be providing bags of food to needy families for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are looking for families who need support. If you are a family or you know of a family who needs support, DinnerGiveawayplease contact one of your friendly FAC Deacons or call the church office to sign up to receive a bag no later than Thursday, November 19. Or, if you are able to, please take a bag located in the narthex, fill it up using the shopping list attached and bring it back to the church the following Sunday. Cash, $15 or $20 grocery store gift cards are also welcome. The bags will be distributed on Sunday, November 22rd. “GO TELL SOMEBODY” is the theme for our 22nd Church Anniversary—2015! In lieu of Bible Study Wednesdays, December 2nd & 9th there will be worship services at 7pm with four area pastors participating. Dr. Lisa Allen McLaurin of West Mitchell Street CME, Atlanta, GA will preach the word.
December 9th Rev. Dr. Keith Slaughter, pastor of The Beloved Community, Atlanta, GA will deliver words of encouragement and Rev. Timothy McDonald pastor of First Iconium Baptist Church will preach the word.

CAU Philharmonic-500x277The Annual Christmas Choral Concert featuring the Clark Atlanta University Philharmonic Society & University Choir will take place at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Atlanta – 435 Peachtree Street, NE (between Ralph McGill Blvd. and Pine Street) – on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 7:06 pm. The concert is FREE OF ADMISSION.
