Mrs. Angia Alexander the beloved mother of Sis. Andrea (James) Conner and grandmother of Elder Sony’a Scandrick passed on Wednesday, August 17th. Her funeral was held at Little Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 315 5th Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 on Saturday, August 27th at 11am.

Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 8:00am.  2016 Ancestral Walk in the Atlanta University Center, “Mending The Broken Calabash” recognizes the story of birthing, struggle and recovery of the waters of life. Join us in your white as we perform healing work to restore harmony, reciprocity and order to the shattering of the Afrikan world. If you are interested in working with the preparations of our “walk stations”, promotions or activities of “the well” which will be for those who will not actually perform the walk but wait for us at its conclusion. Please email Elder Mama Itihari (itiharit@gmail.com) or call her at (404) 527-7729 and express your interest.
F.A.C.A.T will host a community forum on the O.S.D. (Opportunity School District). This informational session will have a diverse panel of speakers to address the legislation that’s been signed by Georgia’s Governor Deal. This November, voters will be asked to authorize that state to create a separate school district for its failing schools within the state. The forum is scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2016 at First Afrikan Church, at 7:00pm.
