Wednesday Bible Study Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Reclaiming Worship as Social, Political and Economic Movement from Oppression to Freedom. This week presenter Rev. Cheptu Grace “Worship as an Inward Journey” 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 1 14 This bible study series is designed to capture and articulate the reality that worship is principally a moral, ethical and spiritual tactic used to secure Pan Afrikan liberation. This series will examine scripture, Liberation Theology, and Afrikan, Afro-Caribbean and Afrikan American history, to frame a discussion and form a consciousness about the place and function of worship in both scripture and in the experiences of Afrikan people.  Class Sessions 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

To Be An Afrikan Teacher 2017…the annual commemoration in honor of Baba Dr. Asa G. Hilliard III will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  “The Kindred Curriculum: An Afrikan Centered Christian Framework for youth, leaders and adults will begin one in a series of teaching approaches based upon African ways of knowing, Biblical and Christian principles. Atlantans Building Leadership for Empowerment (ABLE) will celebrate our 6th Annual Fund Development Banquet and Silent Action. The theme is “Building the Beloved Community”.
