Bereavement:

Mrs. Brenda Warner Roddie, elder sister of Deacon Rodney Warner made her transition on Thursday, April 16, 2015. Mrs. Brenda Warner service was held on Saturday, April 24, 2015 at Gethsemane Apostolic Church, Indianapolis, IN.

 

Mr. Clifton Hines, father of Ms. Dydra Virgil, business partner of Deacon Delphyne Lomax made his transition suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Mr. Clifton Hines service was held on Friday, April 24, 2015 in Winston-Salem, NC.

“On Sunday May 10th, First Afrikan Church will be celebrating our first Great Day of Giving.  We are asking each family to make a sacrificial offering of $250 over and beyond their normal tithes and offering.  This sacrificial offering will continue to provide financial stability as we move into our summer months.”

Free Community Event: DeKalb School of the Arts (DSA) is hosting its annual Tim Redovian Memorial FRINGE FESTIVAL -Departmental shows are April 29th to May 1st, 2015 culminating with Fringe Festival Saturday on Saturday May 2nd, 2015. This event is open to all in the community. Come and enjoy various aspects of the performing arts at DSA – Strolling Strings, Jazz Band, Poetry, Art, Drama, Short Films, FOOD and the much anticipated Senior Dance Concert (Thursday April 30th @ 6:30 p.m. and Saturday May 2nd, @ 4:00pm) as the Class of 2015 bring the curtains down before graduation. Greetings Lithonia Stakeholders!  We had a great Kick-Off on Saturday for Georgia Cities Week with the Electronic Recycling and Open House!  Please stop by City Hall this week to view the fabulous artwork by students from Stoneview Elementary, Lithonia Middle and Lithonia High School.  We invite you to join us for the remaining activities this week.  All events are FREE!!!
