Our FINAL “Youth Lock-In” Planning meeting is TODAY Sunday, April 17th, 2016 following church service in the FAC Small Community room. Donation option using barcode on flyer is available. When making a payment or donation just add “Youth Lock-In Pmt” following your name. We are also seeking donations of cups, plates (small and large), forks, spoons, dessert bowls, napkins, paper towels, and water. Thank you for your support! Boundary Training is mandatory for adults working with our youth.
Family, Friends, & Community: First African Church is calling all youth between the ages of 11-17 to join us for food, fun, and fellowship at the 2016 First African Church Youth Lock-In, Friday & Saturday, April 22th 7:30p -23th 12pm where we will enjoy a dinner and a movie, creative expression, sacred conversations, debates, tee shirt tie dying, gardening and much more. Our theme for this year is “How To Stay Black In America”. Our Scripture reference is Daniel 1:1-21. Please sign up today. Permission forms are now available for you to fill out and sign in the Small Community Room. The cost is $10.00 per child ($5.00 each additional child). We are excited to have a growing partnership with you, our community. Youth are allowed to invite their friends to join us.
We would love for your child(ren) to participate in Youth Sunday Services (3rd Sunday of every month), even if they are not a part of Ayodele or attending Children, Youth and Teen church. Please see coordinator, Rev. Rhonda Jones for more information.
Call Cafe—Is a round table conversation of spirit and personhood. Join us for our quarterly sacred conversation on Sunday, April 24th at 2:00 pm. The Call Café corresponds with the spiritual exploration of “call” that we refer to in the Christian tradition as the Divine will of God for our living. Through Sacred Conversations, a light meal, music and artistic gifting by guest artists, we will share with each other what it means to hear and listen to our “inner voice”. Call Cafe is free however tickets will be distributed for accurate count and there is limited seating. The larger community is invited. Tickets are available downstairs in the CFABS office.
First Afrikan Church Usher Board meeting date has been rescheduled for Monday, April 25th at 7:30pm in the community room

Registration fee if $10.00. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this study on our call, spiritual gifting and who we are in God’s reigndom. If you are interested in facilitation of one of our topics. There will be a 1pm and 7pm class starting Wednesday, May 4th.

The Third Ujamaa Exchange (Community Give Away) will take place on April 30, 2016 from 10am -2pm on the church grounds. We are asking you to please bring your extras, your gently used items (clothes, books, household, automotive, electronic goods, etcetera) that could be of use to someone in the community for a FREE exchange. If there is an item that you need…freely give and freely receive. All un-exchanged items will be returned to their owner until the next Ujamaa Exchange. For more information please see Rev.
