Letter from Pastor Lomax

Dear FAC Member:

Thank you for your faithfulness to our God and our ministry. Together we’ve come a long way by faith and I pray that this missive finds you, your family, and friendship circle well.

God is at work in our world. The pandemic, the protests, the confusion regarding voting and ballots, the earthquakes and fires and hurricanes are all indicators that God is at work. Remember that the creation of the planet and all that is in and on it occurred when the world was void and without form (Genesis 1). God brought creation out of chaos. I believe God is doing something similar now so let’s hold on in faith believing that our God is still in charge.

I am writing simply to say “thank you” for your continued support of our church. We are working the best we can under the circumstances. Many of you tune in to our weekly services on Facebook or YouTube. We also have a weekly “chat and chew” at 2:00 pm on Sundays to discuss the day’s sermon or whatever else comes to the minds of those on the Zoom conversation. While we took the usual summer break, we will begin our weekly bible studies on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 7:00 pm with Elder Carvel Bennett.  See the Zoom link below. Camp Taifa, NSAA Sunday and the pre-school book give-away events all went very well considering the fact that these were all online for the first time in our congregation’s history. We are working church.

You are invited to get engaged in our efforts to maintain our ministry by joining a ministry and contributing your skill-set, whatever it may be, to assure that when we are able to re-gather we will be as strong a ministry as ever. In the meantime keep the faith and don’t give up.

Thank You,
Pastor Lomax
