COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT:

Georgia Power is attempting to drastically raise electricity fees and rates on us which will put our families at risk of having our lights shut-off. The proposal would hike fees from $10 to $17.95 per month and families and ratepayers who do the most to save power and use energy efficiency measures will be the most negatively impacted by this type of rate increase. Georgia Power is seeking 2.2 billion dollars from its customers over the next 3 years according to the AJC.   We need to come together to call on the Georgia Public Service Commission (who regulates energy rates in Georgia) to reject these massive rate increases that will strain our already stretched monthly budgets and put many of us at risk for having our electricity shut off.
Join us on Monday, September 30th, 4 – 6 pm (Rain or Shine) Across the Street from GA Public Service Commission, 244 Washington St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 to rally against these massive electric rate hikes!
