Every 3rd Sunday is Youth Sunday; however, September’s Youth Sunday will be even more engaging.  As we prepare for September’s Youth Service, which will have a special presentation, we are asking that all youth (ages 9-20) be available as follows:

September 10th (TODAY) –  10:30 am – 12:30 pm in Vanessa Knight Building  AND  immediately after church 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm in Sanctuary

The Youth Department is constantly striving to be Afrikan-excellent, which requires time to prepare, plan and rehearse.  It is important that the youth participants be present at all rehearsals for the entire time.

As First Afrikan Church teaches us the value of community, the youth department wants to invite you to Sunday dinner, after Youth Church, September 17th.  In exchange for this wonderful complimentary communal dinner, the Youth are requesting a small favor:  Please take a look at the liturgical calendar on the sanctuary back wall and dress in the color that is associated with your birthday month.
